Betty McGowan

Betty discovered her love of painting in 2006 and since then has worked enthusiastically to make up for lost time.  When she discovered non-objective art around 2009 she realized that this was her niche and  has devoted herself to this art form ever since.

She has been accepted into many Juried art shows in the  Toronto and Eastern Ontario region and has received many kudos for her work.  Recently she won Best  in Show at the Uxbridge Celebration  of the Arts and was accepted into the prestigious juried art show Next 2 at the Arts and Letters Club  in Toronto.

Here’s what he has to say about himself,

“I like using acrylics because of their versatility and have developed  my own style, characterized  by a joyous  exploration of colour and form which entice the viewer to explore the painting more deeply to discover  its meaning. My works have been displayed in several local galleries and at many shows throughout Ontario.     Recently I have received a Third place finish and an Honorable Mention at the Oshawa Art Association  Juried Art Show.”
